Meet Our Team

Dr. James Williams

"Doc" - Dr. James M. Williams

I have been practicing medicine for the past 45 years. I am a Certified Medical Director by the American Board of Family Practice and have worked for local skilled care facilities and hospice agencies. I have worked in many specialties as a physician, but my love lies with those who have difficulties getting good, quality healthcare due to their physical/psychological limitations. My goal is NOT to have the most patients, but to be the MOST to my patients. I will never be the biggest, but will always strive to be the best!

WHAT IS A NURSE PRACTITIONER? I am a Provider, in addition to Dr. Williams. I perform the same functions as Dr. Williams: physical exams, diagnosing, treating, prescribing, and ordering diagnostic testing. I have a Master's Degree in Nursing with additional training and education, becoming board certified as an Adult and Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.  The past 22 years in healthcare, I focused on adult and geriatric care. I enjoy finding the best treatment plan for my patients with an added dash of humor...I love to see the patients smile.

I have been married for 32 years and have 3 children and 1 grandson. I have 3 parrots and 2 pitbulls. I am blessed beyond measure to be a part of the Synergy family, where I can fully use my God-given talents serving our patients, families, and caregivers.

I have been a nurse for 42 years. Visiting my grandma in a nursing home and witnessing my grandfather in hospice sparked my desire to work with the geriatric population. I never truly understood dying until those experiences and I wanted to know more, I wanted to know how I could help others understand and accept the last chapter of our stories. I hold the Synergy title of "Chief Caring Officer" due to my love of listening and helping patients and families with whatever challenges they are fighting. I am a mother and grandmother. Working with Synergy, Doc truly lets each of us shine where our passions lie. I truly feel Blessed to be a part of the Synergy team.
